Micromem is a fabless semiconductor device company devoted to development of MRAM technology. Micromem's patents in MRAM create a solution for performance driven, radiation hard non-volatile memory applications. We have been in the business of researching and developing magnetic based memory for over seven years.

, Micromem's Magnetic random access memory, is non-volatile, read/write addressable, and fabricated from radiation hard materials. Our markets include aerospace and defense, sensors and RFID. Future growth and technical evolution will come from the pervasive computing, PDA and display markets.

development work is undertaken pursuant to the company's exclusive license agreement with the University of Toronto. Micromem has funded development work at the University and holds an exclusive, world-wide license for the use of all MRAM technology developed at the University based on the company's proprietary know how. Micromem's work at the University of Toronto in the laboratories of Professor Harry Ruda has won many project funding awards from Canadian government granting agencies. We are particularly proud to have received project awards from Materials and Manufacturing of Ontario, Communications and Information Technology of Ontario, and the Emerging Materials Knowledge Project agency, all part of the Ontario Centers of Excellence who together recognize the commercial potential of our technology.
Micromem holds a broad-based patent portfolio in MRAM. The company owns and has exclusive license to 22 patent applications with 13 issued patents.
